Pipes, couplers, tanks, valves, cylinders, etc. through which fluids, gases or materials flow are widely used in many industries.Prior to Sub-One, various techniques attempted to protect, enhance or enhance the internal surface properties of such parts, but each approach had fundamental limitations…
For example, parts are sometimes fabricated from special high-grade metals and then machined for extra smoothness, but this is an expensive proposition.Traditional coating methods – electroplating, spraying and others – have limited effectiveness because they are mainly used on exterior rather than interior surfaces.Additionally, they are often toxic or harmful to the environment.InnerArmor technology eliminates all of these problems and produces hard, smooth, corrosion- and corrosion-resistant interior surfaces on a variety of substrates—all while significantly reducing cost.
Thermal spraying such as arc, plasma and high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) deposits molten material onto surfaces. However, these are line-of-sight processes and cannot access small, complex or very long cavities such as pipes.Sprayed surfaces are rough, increase friction or require additional grinding and polishing.Spraying is usually done by hand, which is expensive and difficult to apply evenly. In contrast, InnerArmor coating is fully automatic, less expensive, smooth and evenly applied, even in very long cavities.
Chrome plating uses harsh, dangerous chemicals that pose health risks and face stricter government regulations.Furthermore, for corrosive environments, chrome plating often requires special additional pre-coatings.Inadequate or inadequate surface preparation can lead to a variety of chrome plating problems, such as micro-cracking, delamination, and substrate corrosion. In contrast, InnerArmor has excellent hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, and uses an environmentally friendly process.
These liners are plastic, such as Teflon® coatings that are sprayed or dipped onto the product. These coatings offer limited corrosion resistance, are not optimal for high wear parts, and cannot be used in high temperature environments.InnerArmor coatings prevent corrosion, resist wear and operate at higher temperatures.
InnerArmor coatings offer important advantages over almost all traditional processing and coating techniques, as well as newer processes such as CVD diamond.
