South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partners applauds the award of the sixth round of manufacturing readiness grants to 13 businesses in Elkhart, Marshall and St. Joseph counties.The Manufacturing Readiness Grant is awarded in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Conexus Indiana to support technology-based capital investment in Indiana.Statewide, grants have provided $17.4 million in funding to 212 companies, including $2.8 million from 36 companies that have come to the South Bend-Elkhart area since its 2020 launch.”Manufacturing is one of the pillar industries of the South Bend-Elkhart region,” said Bethany Hartley, CEO of the South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership. “This round brought $1.2 million in investment to our region. , which means 30% of this round of $4 million in statewide grants will be used to build our strong foundation.We look forward to seeing the impact these funds have on the 13 companies and our region in the future.
