Standard steam coils, specifically the Model S, are configured with connections on opposite ends of the coil. This type of coil allows steam to enter the supply header and hits a plate to distribute steam to all tubes. The steam then condenses along the length of the tube and drains out the return header.
Advanced Coil recommends for entering air temperatures above 40°F. We manufacture this model with connections on opposite ends of the coil. Standard steam coils are used in a variety of industrial ventilation and process drying applications across various industries. As a general rule, coils in this series are selected when the incoming air temperatures are above freezing and the steam supply is maintained at a relatively constant pressure.
Type S coils are available as both one-row and two-row deep coils with the steam feed connection on one end and the condensate return connection on the opposite end. We also ensure that this model is TIG welded tube-side during construction, and we’re able to provide ASME ‘U’ stamp or CRN construction.
