The Gator XUV 550 and 550 S4 feature best-in-class fully independent double wishbone suspension that provides 9 inches of wheel travel and up to 10.5 inches of ground clearance for a smooth ride. In addition, on the 550, you can choose between standard high-back bucket seats or bench seats. The 550 S4 comes standard with 2 rows of benches.
“Operators will appreciate not only the smooth ride, but also the new ergonomic operator’s cab,” Gigandet continued. “The development of these new Gators began at the operator’s station, so they offer ample legroom, storage space and automotive-style dashboard controls.”
The Gator XUV 550 and 550 S4 handle medium loads quickly and easily. Both machines have a top speed of 28 mph and are equipped with all-wheel drive to quickly cover all types of terrain. The 16-horsepower, 570cc, air-cooled V-twin gas engine delivers more speed and power than most vehicles in its class, and the cargo hold can carry up to 400 pounds of gear. Plus, the 550 is small enough to fit in the back of a standard pickup truck.
For greater crew and cargo versatility, the 550 S4 offers flexible rear seats. The rear seat can accommodate two additional passengers, or if more cargo is required, the rear seat can be folded down to become a shelf.
“The flexibility of the Gator XUV 550 S4 rear seat is a real innovation,” said Gigandet. “The S4 can carry up to 4 people, but when you need to carry more gear, the rear seat can become more useful in seconds and increase cargo space by 32%.”
The new Gator XUV 550 models are available in Realtree Hardwoods™ HD Camo or traditional John Deere green and yellow.
Also available are over 75 accessories and accessories to customize all Gator XUV models, such as cabs, guards and custom alloy wheels.
